Hello, I'm Bee.

Hi friends. My name is Britny​,​ but you can call me Bee! I live in Oklahoma City​,​ Oklahoma where I do digital journalism​,​ teach poetry workshops​,​ and create buzzworthy experiences with the typewriter. As a poet​,​ my work delves into the cosmic connections between humans and the natural world as well as the deep connections we have with each other. My work celebrates love and joy in the face of an adverse world. Much like my journalism​,​ I aim for poetry to bring solutions (big or small) to people's lives. What I offer: As an artist with varied interests and mediums​,​ I bring interactive workshops at the intersection of sound design​,​ comics​,​ journalism​,​ photography​,​ or collage. At events where I bring the typewriter​,​ clients have called me the Lois Lane of their lives​,​ as I ask deep and vulnerable questions to get at the heart of the words an individual needs to hear. I also do commissions and collage work for those commissioned pieces. My mission: I want to be that person you go to when something big happens in your life and you need someone to listen. Consider me that journalist you would call up when something momentous happens. My purpose here is to help foster deeper understandings of our world and ourselves. I aim to create experiences that leave a lasting impressions worth the front page of the newspaper​,​ sparking curiosity and reflection long after our time together ends. Think of me not just as your friendly poet​/​journalist​,​ but as a guide who helps uncover the profound connections that shape our experiences. Capacity: It depends on the event. Workshops are best with 20 or fewer guests. Typewriter events 30 guests can receive a poem per hour. P.S. Looking to personalize your event further?
