Hi there! My name is Iman and I've been working as a typewriter poet since 2017. I've worked at weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, concerts, store openings, holidays you name it! This is a lovely, unique and memorable addition to any event that will have your guests talking for years to come. How it works: During my time at your event, your guests can come up to me and request a poem based on the topic of their choice. Many people choose to ask for a poem for their significant others, their pets, or a life event but I've also had people ask for poems about geology or Blackpink or breakfast foods. This is all left up to the imagination of the guest and can be as involved or simple as they like. Then, within 3 minutes or so, I will write the recipient with a custom poem on my 90 year old vintage typewriter. People laugh, people cry, and even want to give hugs. Overall, it's a way to promote genuine human connection in a unique and special way which allows your guest to feel seen and heard, and the poem becomes a keepsake for your guest to take with them. Each booking will include a free 15 minute consultation where we can talk about your event ahead of time and see what specifically works best for your event. We also have the ability to further customize, your event with specific paper, custom stamps, memory book services, travel, etc. Currently I am in the Boston area, but I am available to travel. :)
