Hello, I'm Jonny Black.

Jonny Black is a writer hailing from Southern California. Her desire to bring magic and whimsy into the lives of strangers led her to the queer work of poetry busking in late 2023. Despite the objections of naysayers​,​ she loaded up a market cart with a baby blue Brother typewriter​,​ a handmade sign​,​ a sheaf of writing paper​,​ and took to the streets. The experience was nothing short of extraordinary. By the end of the day she'd written countless poems for many a stranger​,​ and she was hooked. Ms. Black is honored and grateful to be able to continue writing poems for anyone who is curious enough to stop and ask.
