Hello, I'm JP.

Howdy! I'm JP (they​/​she)​,​ an Austin​,​ TX based poet & filmmaker with a deep love of stories. I began storytelling in plays and movies made with my grandmother's VHS camcorder in my parent's southern california garage at the ripe old age of 11 and haven't stopped chasing a life of storytelling with friend-collaborators at my side ever since. Community is everything to me. I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community​,​ a graduate of the Tisch School of the arts​,​ a published poet​,​ award winning actor & filmmaker​,​ and my first poems were scribbled into a Hello Kitty diary and later lined the wall of my myspace page as a teen ;) I love talking to new people and hearing their stories. I believe in storytelling and in the imagination as the place where we break down limiting belief systems and see to believe in the softer​,​ kinder​,​ and more empathic world we all wish to live in.
