Hi! I'm Juan, and I have been a Poet for Hire​/​Typewriter Poet for the last 4 years. I have written in many local markets, typed at events at the Tampa Theatre and Straz Center, as well as private events with Fendi and Louis Vuitton. How it works: As guests grow curious about the man with the old typewriter, they will slowly approach, wonder what I am there to offer, and soon discover the beautiful world of on-demand poetry. I will ask them for a topic, a few words, or to tell me a story they want me to portray in their poem. I then type a poem in the next 3-5 minutes. Every poem is the result of human connection. I put care into every word I write and make sure guests feel like they are part of the process. When booking, I like to have a quick call to talk about the specifics of the event, dress code, and any requests to make sure I can make the experience the best it can be for both you and your guests. I can write poems both in English and Spanish.
